Join OSC Iwakuni and experience the 1300-year-old tradition of cormorant fishing, or Ukai. The evening will begin with a leisurely sunset boat ride on the Nishiki River at the Kintai Bridge before observing this unique cultural ritual as teams of trained cormorants catch fish by torchlight. Iwakuni is one of 13 cities in Japan that continues this tradition; we’re looking forward to experiencing it with you!
